Designed by Joe Lee and renovated by Gene Bates, the course features tree-lined fairways and strategic bunkering. The signature 17th hole, a par-3, challenges golfers with its proximity to water and well-guarded green.

Golf legends such as Jack Nicklaus were charter members, while LPGA Hall of Famers Beth Daniel, Sandra Haynie, Jane Blalock, and Hollis Stacy called the club their home course. The club’s first head professional was Peter Kostis, with Jim Flick serving as the teaching professional; Flick also initiated the first Golf Digest School at The Hamlet.
