Sepp Straka was born in Austria and played collegiate golf at the University of Georgia. He turned professional in 2016 after college. Straka became the first Austrian golfer to earn a PGA Tour card. His twin brother, Sam, also played golf competitively in college.
Straka represented Austria in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and finished tied for 10th. He gained experience on the Web.com Tour before joining the PGA Tour.
