Description of Miami Shores Golf Course
The course is an 18‑hole, par‑71 championship parkland layout designed by Red Lawrence. It measures about 6,705 yards from the back tees. It plays to a course rating of 71.2 with a slope of 131. The greens are Mini Verde Bermuda grass, in mostly good condition. The fairways are tree‑lined with well‑placed bunkers.
Signature hole is the risk/reward par‑5 7th, split by the Biscayne Canal. Players deciding to hit over water face a bold challenge. The front nine demand precise approach shots into contoured greens. The back nine reward accurate tee shots and strategic play. Year‑round subtropical conditions keep the course lush and playable.
