The course uses Seashore Paspalum grass, ideal for warm, coastal conditions. Fairways are tight, greens are firm, and water hazards appear on twelve holes. The slope ranges from 131 to 140, with a rating near 73.

Signature holes include the scenic, strategic par-4 17th with water and bunkers in play. The back nine features a long par-5 demanding distance and accuracy. Golf Staff and History of Normandy Shores Golf Course

Normandy Shores Golf Club has hosted legendary pros like Sam Snead, Arnold Palmer, and Peter Thompson as regular visitors. The course also has colorful history with local figures and famed gangsters strolling fairways post-WWII. Head Golf Professional is Bobby Wilcox, supported by assistant Eric Kasdin and PGA member John Oyler. Director of Sales and Memberships is Maria Cowan, with food & beverage led by Jim Nourse. SBIA coordinator Alexis Garcia is also part of the golf staff team.

Interesting facts include the 240-yard par‑3 17th, known as a “monster” because of its floodlit lagoon and bunker protection. The course opened in 1941, later redesigned by Arthur Hills blending history with modern play. The clubhouse replicates the original 1941 Geiger design, preserving its vintage charm. It was donated land originally, elevated in the 1930s to form Normandy Isle. Today it mixes tropical wildlife, coastal breezes, and a hidden Miami‑Beach gem atmosphere.
