Description of Royal Poinciana Golf Courses
Cypress Course
The Cypress Course is a private, parkland‑style eighteen‑hole layout. Originally designed by David Wallace, later renovated by Arthur Hills and Drew Rogers. Greens are Bermuda grass, offering consistent, firm putting surfaces. From the championship tees it plays about 6,405 yards, slope 127 and rating 71.0, par 72. The course features multiple water hazards, wetlands on ten holes, and strategic bunkers throughout.
Pines Course
The Pines Course is open, longer and more modern in layout than Cypress. It was designed by Arthur Hills and opened in 2010. The greens are also Bermuda grass, with elevated tees and double‑tiered greens offering variety. It measures approximately 6,794 yards from back tees, slope around 140 and rating about 73.3, par 72. Water is less prominent here, but bunkers protect many greens; signature holes include the par‑5 4th and par‑3 8th.
Royal Poinciana Greens Fees and Membership Costs
Royal Poinciana Golf Club does not offer daily green-and-cart fees to the public. It is strictly invitation-only private membership. Guest rounds are limited to members’ guests and pricing is not publicly disclosed. All published rates pertain to dues and initiation fees only. The club’s fee structure remains confidential to institution and membership committee.
Golf membership initiation fee is about $130,000 with annual golf dues around $14,600. A social membership costs roughly $65,000 initiation and $8,000 yearly dues. Equity memberships max out at 640 golf and 420 social slots. Additional assessments, dining minimums or taxes may also apply.
